TIMELESS TRUTH

Bible Reading: Zechariah 1
"Where are your forefathers now? And the prophets, do they live forever? But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your forefathers? Then they repented and said, 'The LORD Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.'" Zechariah 1:5-6

The Lord spoke to His people in a call to return to Himself. He contrasts the brevity of man's life with the eternal nature of the Word of God, in the hope that they will understand the timelessness of the message.

It is good to learn from the past and from those who have gone before us, however there is a source regarding life which we have been blessed with that offers us a wealth of wisdom that knows no depth. The Word of God is powerful. It contains wisdom and understanding about the foundational aspects of life and delivers details regarding the how the Creator intended for us to live and make the most of our lives. It is full of stories illustrating the greatness of the Lord and the way of the righteous, and it shows us not only how to live a full life now, but receive a full life for eternity. Therefore let us seek God's Word as our primary source of wisdom and truth, for it is timeless and truly amazing.

"Father, I love Your Word and I desire to diligently learn and apply its truths in my life each and every day. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
