HE WILL

Bible Reading: Zechariah 9
"I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the war-horses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth." Zechariah 9:10

Here is the prophesy of the coming Messiah that was to deliver the Israelites and bring peace to the nations. Jesus was the fulfilment of this prophesy although many of them did not recognise Him.

The Lord promised that the Messiah would bring peace and hope to all the lands, however the Jews thought this to be a military regime that would free them from the Roman empire. What Jesus brought however, was so much more than weapons and military strategies. Jesus brought a revolution of love, hope and peace to the world - not in the way people thought He would, but in a radical new way. Many times, the Lord does things in ways that we cannot imagine. His ways are much higher than our ways and often what we conceive in our minds to be the logical path to a promise of the Lord, is not the way that He will work. It requires us to trust in His leading and obey all that He has called us to do. Therefore let us put our faith in Him and allow Him to do a mirculous, radical work in our lives.

"Father, as You have spoken to me through Your Word, help me to believe for great things accomplished in Your way. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
