GRACE AND SUPPLICATION

Bible Reading: Zechariah 12
"And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son." Zechariah 12:10

The Word of the Lord came through the prophet of a time when God's grace would be lavished on the people and they would mourn the one who they pierced. This was a prophesy of the Messiah - our Lord Jesus.

We are living in a time of grace and supplication. God has poured out His Spirit on us and He has given us a hope and a future although we did not deserve it. When Jesus died on the cross, He changed the fate of all humanity forever. He opened the door to eternal life and eternal communion with the Father. He freed us from sin and death and He gave us a purpose and a reason for living. Therefore let us be thankful to the Lord, continually giving Him praise for all that He has done. He died for us, but He is now risen and seated at the right hand of the Father. He rules and reigns and every knee must bow in heaven and on earth for He is Lord. Never take for granted the blessed time in which we live. Cherish every moment and spend each minute in earnest relationship with Christ.

"Father, I thank You for Your grace and supplication. I rejoice in the life You have blessed me with and I pray that I will use it for Your glory. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
